I am looking for a good place to buy lenses, the problem is that you end up with sites like:

http://www.lensshopper.com/
and
http://www.allaboutvision.com/

Which of course can be good, but are the listings rellevant or do they just list the companies that pay them best??

Hi Toxi, You need to see an eye doctor. He will check your eyes and do some tests on your sight. This is the best way to do this and the safes. Plus the eye doctor is local not on some site on the internet. Besides that i have try it myself and it was cheaper to see my eye doctor than order threw the site. THEY also will contact you eye doctor too.
A Friend.

Once you have a precription from an optometrist, you can buy anywhere online. I usually prefer to a pay a bit more and buy it in a store when I can receive it the same day, Costco is usually cheap and occasionally they have coupons for lenses too.
If you have to buy online, check out www.1800contacts.com or www.visiondirect.com. To my experience, they are two of the best online companies out there.
