I had that also - its harsh but you just have to brush your tongue but try not to go too far backwards - also, use plenty of mouthwash to get to those out of reach places

Pretty much, try to brush your tongue as quickly and efficiently as possible. There's not really anything you can do to stop it, it'll just have to go away on it's own. Just make sure you are brushing your teeth correctly so you won't end up with a bunch of cavities (that comes with pregnancy majority of the time).

Good luck!

Use no toothpaste when you brush your tongue the first time to scrub it really good. Just water. Then look for a really mild toothpaste and use just a tiny amount.

I think crest has something like a mild mint...

I also have that problem although its gotten better.

Brushing faster does not help for me, but brushing gentler and slower does sometimes help.

Even gargling with mouth wash makes me want to throw up.

I don't really think there is anything you can do about it other then just let it pass.
I had the same thing happen to me and by mid way through the second trimester it wasn't a problem anymore.

All the best to you

My dentist suggested I brush my gums with mouth wash for sensitivity....Gargle to relax your throat...Use a soft bristle toothbrush...which will also be small to reach those farther places.....or get a tongue scraper...

Try a different kind of toothpaste perhaps just use baking soda and water. Maybe it is the flavoring of your toothpaste (ex. mint) so try a different kind.
Good luck and congrats
