Ichiro Suzuki's number compare well to HOF'ers who were similar type hitters
Ichiro Suzuki H-1354
BA-331 OBP-376 SLG-438
Tony Gwynn - H-3141
BA-338 OBP-388 SLG-459
Rod Carew H-3053
BA-328 OBP-393 SLG-429
Wade Boggs H-3010
BA-328 OBP-415 SLG-443
Ichiro is 33, if he stays healthy I feel he could play until he's 40 or older- If he plays 7 or 8 more seasons and continues to put up the same type numbers then I would say he's a shoe in. One thing he has going for him, he's an excellent defensive outfielder.

Give him 10 more good seasong, with an average of 200 hits every year, and the velocity and type of defense this man has, I assure you he'll get to the Hall of Fame, remeber Hall of Famers are those players who play first for passion and love for the game, not for money or publicity they take around baseball.. But Ichiro is one of the best hitters right now, doesn't get injured, with great health.

He's number are outstanding but hasn't played in the majors long enough, at least to this point. If he can maintain his pace for 5 or 6 more seasons he has an excellent chance of being elected. I'm not sure how Japan works but I suppose it's possible that he could end up in two halls of fame.

I think he's still a couple seasons away from the hall, but unless he falls apart completely Ichiro I think is heading for the hall. The main thing he needs is to prove he's not a flash in the pan. I think once looked at along with his Japanese stats we are going to see Ichiro as one of the all time greats.

Ichiro has only one thing working against him for the hall of Fame at this time and that is that he is short of the required time in MLB. Once he gets to the required time he should be on the fast track to Cooper's Town.

particular. Ichiro has a blended complete of over 3,000 hits between Japan and the MLB. He additionally has the record for many hits in one season. he's a hall of Famer indisputably. and that i think of Ken Griffey Jr. gets inducted as a Mariner and not as a purple.

It's too soon to tell for MLB Hall of Fame consideration. I would say that if he keeps up his pace for the next 5 or 6 years he would be a shoo-in.

In my opinion, definately yes. He is a fantastic hitting machine, and will hit the mark which is considered that he be elected into the hall of fame. He also is a terriffic fielder, and so with all of these credentials, then he should be a shoe in to be elected. Plus, in addition to all of this, it will help to erase the gambling that Pete Rose was involved in, and he was a very good player.

Without a doubt. No one in the history of baseball has had as many hits in any six year span as Ichiro has had in his first six years. Not only that, he has a .331 career batting average, won six Gold Gloves and has one of the best arms in the game.
