Just trying to resolve a little debate at work about the existence of aliens; if the aliens no longer need an organic body or a machine within which to exist, do they then exist within a thought?

Did you mean to ask 'In order to have a thought, does one require a body'? The supplementary parts of your question seem to suggest this was your meaning.

In either case your question is predicated on there being aliens, on Earth, and invisible. There is no hard evidence for this, and despite the numerous abduction anecdotes, it's not wise to accept their existence on anecdotes alone. Especially given that humans are prone to hallucinations and waking dreams that seem totally real to them.

But - if aliens were present on earth, how plausible is it that they're invisible? There are no known constraints on exactly what a body must consist of, it simply requires structure. Aliens could have evolved from a base of pure structured 'energy', but that energy should be detectable.

All the forms of energy we know are based on the four fundamental forces: gravity, electromagnetism, and the strong and weak nuclear forces. 'Dark Energy' may constitute a fifth, but could also be a form of one of the other four.

The fact is, any 'lump' of energy capable of having within it the millions of finely-detailed structures necessary for a brain - even an alien brain - would be a very large and powerful piece of energy indeed. It's unlikely to be gravity-based, as this would require large masses, and would be destroyed by the proximity of the planet. The strong and weak nuclear forces only operate over tiny, atomic, distances, so they're unlikely candidates.

The remaining is electromagnetic energy, and as we know, this radiates strongly. Furthermore, discrete blobs of energy tend to be very large and unstable. The only known instance of a naturally-occurring, isolated 'piece' of energy is ball-lightning and similar plasma structures. These tend to fizzle out spontaneously, and also have a simple internal structure.

This doesn't entirely preclude the possibility of balls of intelligent energy, but it does make them unlikely. And the evolutionary origins of such structures are hard to conceive: biochemistry allows complex systems to form spontaneously, but we know of no such process based on pure energy.

Occam's Razor is a logical rule that says that, given two possible answers, the simple one is more likely to be true. Either aliens are here in the form of invisible and undetectable balls of highly structured energy, the nature of which we are entirely unfamiliar with; OR they aren't here at all.

Perhaps they are pure energy. Our thoughts are composed on neurons communicating with each other via charged potassium ions (electricity). Perhaps the aliens have found a way of storing information, and their being purely within energy.

But our own thoughts are our own, to an extent...People can be brainwashed, so the aliens could brainwash us, but that wouldn't give them life as such.

A thought is an interpretation to all the inputs our brains receive via our senses around 80,000 inputs per second based on sight, smell etc , it is well know that certain chemicals can affect our thoughts as well as our senses , could it be that the living world around us also exists in thoughts ? and infulence us without our knowing

If there is not physical being organic or not, then what they are would be energy.

It is hard to grasp something exsisting but not being physical, like gravity. Or ghosts. Hope that helps your debate.

In a manner. And absentminded people are continuously deep of their concepts. So absentmindedness certainly will help, because of the fact .you in many situations FALL in love and absentminded people are extra services to FALL in a pit than others.

I've had a thought, I don't know what to do with it, I've never had one before.
