Do not stand at my grave and forever weep.
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn’s rain.
When you awaken in the morning’s hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and forever cry.
I am not there. I did not die.
sorry to hear about your gran
take care

Hi im sorry to hear about this but here's a poem that I thought sounded good: I've had the garden tidied up, As she would have me do. This little pal who couldn't stay To see the season through. The flowers were her dearest friends, The garden was her own, I've watched her work, but never knew The things that she had grown. Her, catalogues keep coming, and Her garden magazine; I run across the queerest names, And study what they mean, I read them all, from end to end, And when the spring is here, I'll have a garden just like hers, As though my gran were near.

Sorry for your loss my friend, try this poem, my cousin read it at my mum's funeral in jan this year and it made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up!
To Those I Have Loved and Those Who love me.
When i am gone, release me, let me go
i have so many things to see and do
you must not tie yourself to me with tears
Be happy that i have had so many years.
I gave you my love, you can only guess
How much you gave me in happiness
I thank you for the love that each of you have shown
But now its time i travelled on my own.
So grieve for a while for me, if grieve you must
then let your grief be comforted by trust
it is only for a while that we must part
So bless the memories in your heart.
I Willl not be far away, for life goes on
so if you need me, call me and i will come
Though you cannot see, or touch me, you will hear
All of my love around you soft and clear.
Then when you must come this way alone
I wil greet you with a smile and a
"Welcome Home"
Wow that has made me cry all over again, i hope all goes well with your Grans funeral.
Take care
Saddo i love you, i have your verse written on a mass card and it's looking at me right now!

A little girl who turned to woman,
and then turned to mother soon.
Then growing more the daughters kids,
begin to love Grandma too.
Gran would love to smile and talk,
her Grandkids meant the most.
Though she has passed on now,
we decided to give her a toast.
Thank you for being there,
and giving us all a smile.
We'll miss you dearly now,
but we know you are safe.
We know we will see you,
in the disco in the sky
and until the day we meet again,
I'll stay here and make you proud.
Llittle poem of mine, if you please...

I'm sorry I can't help you , as such.. but i like the saying .. the person "fell asleep".. as opposed to "died"... i am going to have that said for me.
Take care .. you and your family xx

Death is nothing at all...
I have only slipped awayinto the next room
I am I and you are you.
Whatever we were to each other, that we are still.
Call me by my old familiar name, speak to me in the easy way which you always used.
Put no difference in your tone; wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow.
Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes we always enjoyed together
Play, smile, think of me, pray for me.

These are all related scriptures in which God gives evidence of the condition of His loved ones after death, how they will benefit from the resurrection which His son Christ Jesus already showed us on a small scale 2,000 years ago what would be done on a global scale in the last days when the time would come for all the righteous and the unrighteous to come back to life. You may check them with your bible and chose what you deem best for the occasion. Even if you should find yourself utterly surprised at what you see, rest assured that I never made up one word of these scriptures but that they were all inspired (2 Timothy 3:16) by a living God who cannot lie (Titus 1:2; Hebrews 6:18) and if it brings you as much comfort as it brought me to find out that dying is by far the end of a human's life. To the contrary, death erases sin and allows the person to come back to life in the resurrection as did all the ones Jesus brought back to life while on earth (his friend Lazarrus, for instance and the officer's little girl. He made it clear then that the condition of them while dead, was a deep and peaceful sleep. (Ecclesiastes 9:5, 10.)
Again, feel free to edit as you see fit. If it were my mom or grand-ma, I would read them all. You'll see! At the least, it might give you insight in what you could do... and allow you all to recognize that her suffering is truly over and done with! I hope you'll enjoy this very true informative set of scriptures.
Psalms, chapter 37:11
But the meek ones themselves will possess the earth, And they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace.
Isaiah 45:18 For this is what Jehovah has said, the Creator of the heavens, He the true God, the Former of the earth and the Maker of it, He the One who firmly established it, who did not create it simply for nothing, who formed it even to be inhabited: "I am Jehovah, and there is no one else.
Isaiah 45:22 "Turn to me and be saved, all you at the ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is no one else.
Isaiah 46:8, 9, 10, 11 "Remember this, that you people may muster up courage. Lay it to heart, your transgressors.
Remember the first things of a long time ago, that I am the Divine One and there is no other God, nor anyone like me;
the One telling form the beginning the finale, and from long ago the things that have not been done; the One saying, 'My own counsel will stand, and everthing that is my delight I shall do';
the One calling from the sun-rising a bird of prey, from a distant land the man to execute my counsel. I have even spoken it; I shall also bring it in. I have formed it, I shall also do it.
Isaiah 48:17, 18 This is what Jehovah has said, your Repurchaser, the Holy One of Israel: "I, Jehovah, am your God, the One teaching you to tread in the way in which you should walk.
O if only you would actually pat attention to my commandments! Then your peace would become just like the sand, and the descendants form your inward parts like the grains of it. One's name would not be cut off or be annihilated from before me."
Isaiah 49:13 Give a glad cry, you heavens, and be joyful, you earth. Let the mountains become cheerful with a glad outcry. For Jehovah has comforted his people and he shows pity upon his own afflicted ones.
Isaiah 65:17, 18 (a) For here I am creating new heavens and a new earth; and the former things will not be called to mind, neither will they come up into the heart.
But exult you people, and be joyful forever in what I am creating.
Isaiah 65:21, 22, 23 And they will certainly build houses and have occupancy; and they will certainly plant vineyards and eat their fruitage.
They will not build and someone else have occupancy; they will not plant and someone else do the eating. For like the days of a tree will the days of my people be; and the work of their own hands my chosen ones will use to the full.
They will not toil for nothing, nor will they bring to birth for disturbance; because they are the offspring made up of the blessed ones of Jehovah, and their descendants with them.
Isaiah 65:25 "The wolf and the lamb themselves will feed as one, and the lion will eat straw just like the bull; and as for the serpent, his food will be dust. They will do no harm nor cause any ruin in all my holy mountain," Jehovah has said.
Revelation 21:3-4 With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: "Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his peoples. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away."
Matthew 6:9 "You must pray, then, this way: " 'Our Father in the heavens, let your name be sanctified. Let your kingdom come. Let your will take place, as in heaven, also upon earth. Give us today our bread for this day; and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And do not bring us into temptation but deliver us form the wicked one.'
