C- Shaquille O'Neal/ Shaq's in great shape right now and showing glimpses of his prime form. He is leading the Heat to a higher playoff seed without Dwayne Wade. They have won four in a row without Wade. His stats are also up, too. As for Yao, he hasn't been performing like he was before the injury.
PF- Dirk Nowitzki/ He is having an MVP season and is not only shattering team records, but also records in sports as a whole(the Mavericks is the only pro sports team in history to win 51 games out of 56.)
SF- Shawn Marion/ He is most likely to win the Defensive layer of the Year Award. He is averaging a double-double and has almost two blocks and more than two steals a game. That award is between him and Josh Smith. Marion is also posting good numbers offensively.
SG- Kobe Bryant/ He is still the same old Kobe. He is making his teammates much better and is dishing more this season. He is taking less shots and the Lakers are winning.
PG- Phoenix cannot win consistently without him. The Suns lost three in a row. With Nash, they have won 15 and 17 in a row. Currently, with Nash, they are winning 3 games.
Honorable Mention:
C-Yao Ming
PF-Tim Duncan
SF-LeBron James
SG-Tracy McGrady
PG-Jason Kidd

PG - Steve Nash: Considered Mike Bibby and Chris Paul ... but Nash is the NBA's best point guard. Knows when his team needs 20 points or 20 assists (from him) for the win and has the ability to get either. In Magic's and Stockton's class.
SG - Dwayne Wade: Kobe's slightly better but Wade's a much better team player ... D-Wade scored AND passed as a rookie, but it's taken Kobe nearly 10 years to follow suit.
C - Yao Ming: Shaq's past his prime, and Amare's knee injuries have robbed some of his explosiveness; Yao is still in his prime, has developed his footwork, and doesn't need explosiveness at 7'6".
SF - Paul Pierce: Considered Shawn Marion ... but like former KU (my alma mater) star's game better. Pierce can do it all, and on this team, won't have pressure of winning games by himself.
PF - Tim Duncan: Considered Chris Bosh ... but Duncan's my favorite player. "Big Fundamental" has big games without dominating the ball, cleans the glass, plays all-NBA defense, and is a good guy. No longer in his prime but still gets 20 points and 10 rebounds.
Reserves:
PG - Chris Paul
SG - Manu Ginobili
C - Chris Bosh
SF - Shawn Marion
PF - Dirk Nowitzki

ok in thinking of my team ive decided to go with some youth. i know Nash is great and all, but in 2 years time, where will he be? how many games a season will he play for me? so in considering this i have formed my team of young NBA superstars....here they are....
pg - Chris Paul
sg - Dwayne Wade
sf - Lebron James
pf - Amare Stoudamire
c - Dwight Howard
this kindof line up has the quicks and speed to play an up tempo style of game. their only downfall would be perimeter shooting. but i figure with kep players like Stoudamire and Howard, theyre gonna be fine on the rebounding.
the bench players would consist of role players along the likes of....Barbosa, Livingston, Iguodola, Deng, Gordon, Okafor, Josh Smith, Bogut, Arenas, Bosh and Lee
i know im disregarding all the fine players who have settled into All Star roles, but i still think my team of youth would look pretty good on the floor
