Most of the world renowned medias focus the negative sides of the Muslims and brand them as terrorist, stupid, inhumane and cruel as they do the same for the Muslim countries who don't listen to the USA and the western nations.
For an example: Western Medias slates the Muslims for some bindings to their women but they never mention that the AIDS, theft and addictions are the lowest in the world among the Muslims. Western medias blame Sudan and Iraq for violating basic human rights (As they don't listen to them) but don't speak anything against Saudi Arabia (As it listens to them) where the behead the criminals openly and chop out their hands for stealing.
Whenever any Muslim causes terrorism, they brand him/her as a Muslim terrorist. But they never branded Hitler as a Christian dictator or the terrorist of the IRA as Christian terrorists. They never mention the good activities of the Muslim people citing him/her as Muslim but for bad works and terrorism, they cite the word Muslim first.
In this way, the Western Medias made a bad impression of the Muslims in the world and most of the people don't know and/ or think about the real pictures of the Muslims. So, most of them don't like the Muslims.
There might be a question, why the Western Medias are branding the Muslims as bad? The answer is simple; you may already know it or you may think on this issue.

They don't.
Muslims (practicing ones) are conservatives. As for the extremists bombing each other and other people- hatred is not the right word.
Frusteration and sorrow is more accurate. They are ignorant and know not what they do.
Oh and by the way- your facts are wrong- Bush does not hate Muslims- some of his closest friends are Muslim. For example- the Saud family- the Bushes and the Saudi royal family have been close for many years. This is just plain ignorance- and is actually the type of thing that encourages the violence by the extremists.

We don't hate muslims. We want to eliminate islamofascists though, and any who believe in the verses of the koran that order them to convert or kill us.

I don't understand this. I live in Germany which has a huge Muslim population and I have never met a single radical Muslim. They are all pretty normal. It is simple scare mongering. Bush has to identify an enemy and make him out to be really bad. Hitler used the same tatic in blaming Jews for Germanys misfortunes and look how the world ended up there.

Conservatives do not deficit spend.
Conservatives are against foriegn Aid
Conservatives are against Foriegn Alliances and Wars
Conservatives are for strict intrepretation of the Constitution
Any Conservatives left the Republican Party years ago.

hmm well most conservatives do not hate muslims. we hate islamofascists. we hate terrorists. we hate any one who twists a religions to use it to justify violence. there are many many muslim men and women in this country and the vast majority are just trying to make it working hard every day and so on and so on. just like any christian, jew, hindu, or bhuddist muslims feel that their faith brings them closer to god and helps them through their day to day life. and despite what cnn abc cbs or nbc may tell you GWB does not hate muslims either. unfortunately people in this world still hate people because of race religion or sexual preference or a laundy list of other things. it happens, it sucks but it happens.

Simple.. it is due to the fact that public opinion is easily manipulated by the media. Blame the CNN freaks for changing every story to their benefit. They are not really educated people but they are really friendly. All you need to tell your dad is to not STEREO_TYPE people all around the world. In doing so, not any good will come out of it.

George W. Bush wouldn't care if you associated with Muslims. The problem here is that Muslims are anti Christian and anti Jew, anti Buddha, anti Shitu, anti Hindu and so on. They are out to reform the world to their religion and they are pledged to it with or without war. Smart Americans (and those in Europe and elsewhere in the world) know that Muslims are not peace loving people and are prepared to blow themselves up for their cause. Lunacy. Your dad is correct. Stay away from them. Their views are very different that ours and they can be dangerous.
