The orchestra also get paid, why shouldn't they. Wogan is a talented presenter and someone like him has got to front this show. Fern Cotton and the likes couldn't get the donations in. As for celebs who are refusing to appear then they are obviously Z listers and don't give a bull about charity if that's their attitude.

Any show that intends to raise money for charity should ensure the money goes to charity, and not wasted on high profile celebs for their own personnel gain.
On a far smaller scale, I have organised and produced shows for charity, and no body got paid, people involved even donated their expenses to the charities concerned.
The satisfaction of helping others should be payment enough for anyone.
I would like to think this happens with all charity events, but does it? We may never know, but it would help so we know are money is going to the needy, and not the greedy.

So whats wrong with that? They have a choice to use him or not and besides don't mind those celebs. I can't be deceived by them as we all read magazines and we see how most of them spends on unnecessary things at the expense of children in need or environmental issues

My oppinion of him has been greatly lowered. This is a charity
event and his fee could be better spent where it is needed most. Surely they could find some one else to head this event?
