I shower everyday and at the moment use mitchum which is meant to last 48 hours and for me lasts about 6 hours. Im usually worse on work days. I dont want people to think I smell so please help me.

Smell is not caused by sweat but bacteria, sweat is a big factor of course because the moist warm area gives bacteria the prefect place to multiply, and you do need to be aware of the difference between antiperspirant and deodorant as one may not help where as the other will.

For sweating I highly recommend Odaban.
http://www.odaban.com
You put it on before you go to bed, just using a little, then you wash it off in the morning. It works by blocking pores so the sweat does not come out, instead the sweat is 're-directed' to other areas of your body where it can evaporate so not causing those nasty sweat-stains. Although it seems expensive for a little bottle you only use a small amount a couple of times a week and the longer you use it the less you find you need it. This will prevent sweating and so will reduce your problem.

I would recommend you also check on what is going into your body as sweat is one of your bodies defence systems used to flush out the skin, if you use commercial deodorants or antiperspirants then the chemicals within them could be adding to the problem, so too could be diet if you are eating processed foods.

For deodorant try using a crystal deodorant instead, these are basically rock salt crystals that create a layer over the skin that prevents bacteria from multiplying, because this is natural it will not put toxins into your skin so would also help lower sweat production and any smell sweat may cause.

This web site sells crystal deodorant, but most health stores will sell the rocks a lot cheaper if you look around, also bare in mind these do last a while so save money too - http://www.crystaldeodorant.com – alternatively some brands are starting to take this idea on board, rather than using Mitchum try using brands of deodorant that contain these crystals.

There are special deodorants that you put on over night and they stop you from sweating they really do work. You put it on, at first, every night and wash it off in the morning and put your normal one on then after a while you can cut down to a few nights a week. Don't shave your armpits and then put it straight on because it will sting like mad. The one I have used was called Driclor solution its about £6 and its a roll on and it comes in box so you should be able to spot them, I got mine from boots. I use it just in summer as you can see wet patches when you wear certain fabrics and it stops that completely.

You can try the following-the smell is not caused by sweat but by bacteria on your skin-try a smear of Cuticura antibacterial handwash under your arms-get it from chemists or supermarkets-other things are the body stick made of a metal
that can kill odours,,rub it in the armpits- also a sweat shirt made with part silver material, also meant to hinder bacterial growth, may help.Avoid spicy food and relax,if you feel anxious.

Use antiseptic soap to shower like Dettol. After you shower use an antiseptic solution under your arms and rinse. I mean solutions used by medical staff to clean wounds. I know it helps. Use men's deodorant. Avoid garlic. Try to include some cumin in your food like on your salad.

Your age might have been useful.

Most potent antiperspirant is anhydrol forte. It is on prescription but also available over the counter.

If this is not adequate do not be embarrassed, see your GP, he may want to check a few things.

I have used Sure (cool blue) most of my life, Its great and reliable, If you do sweat quite alot wear cotton loose clothing, helps your skin breathe easier. Im not to keen on the roll on's though they tend to be sticky, stick to the spray.
