My husband withheld our 2005 tax returns and had his girlfriend endorse my name on the back of the checks. After a year of drawn out drama, I'm finally getting along with him and have just now found this out now that we are getting along and are discussing a possible reconciliation. I am livid and aside from the trust issues and character doubts that have resurfaced, I'm wondering if I should turn him in. What would happen to he and his girlfriend? Fraud and forgery? It's not about the money. This was not about our personal stuff, this was outright dishonesty and stealing from me. If he doesn't have to pay for all the misery he's caused, should he at least have to pay for breaking the law? What could potentially legally happen to he and the girl if I decide to pursue this? Is it worth it?

He works for the government as a psyche clinician for juvenile offenders in a state facility! And is being so "whatever" about it and is lying about the amount of the check. It's maddening.. It's him yawning about it that's driving me to actually turn him in. I don't want to be like the typical woman scorned **** bc I'm over that for the most part, but this type of thing really pisses me off.

Let's see if I understand this right...he works in a PSYCHE clinic in a PRISON and he's COMMITTED CHECK FRAUD while messing around on you with a woman that signed your name to a federal document. Just wondering if he met her while she was serving time.

If I was you, I would run, not walk to the nearest lawyer and start protecting yourself. I would also be on the phone right now with the IRS informing them what happened. Who's to say that if they did it to you that they didn't do it to others like he ex. Sounds like he's using you big time and he's doing it with what he's learned in his job. He could also be trying to stay married to you because he knows that a spouse can not be compelled to testify against him in court.

As suggested by others, I would be calling the credit reporting companies and getting a complete report. You can also make a notation in your report that you believe that you are a victim of credit fraud so that you can protect yourself.

DON'T WAIT! Protect yourself!

Isn't it interesting that your shared Romeo wants to reconcile at the tax season? I wonder if it's that his timing is suspect or am I just suspicious of his motives after he's stolen from the woman he claims to love and wants to woo.
Hmmm, anyway, if he is ever caught, how do you like the moniker, accessory to a federal crime punishable for X amount of time for attempting to defraud the feder....
Is he worth it seems the better question in my opinion.
Turn them over like a Confederate soldier turning the ground for planting season!
Also, make sure to run a credit report cause goodness only knows what else Bonnie and Clyde have been up to. Your identity might have been stolen more than you realize. He's a cad! File for divorce would be the way to go, no matter how good the sex.
he came back, broke your back with his down stroke and now all is forgivien? Please.
If you were my friend, I'd give ya a self-esteem slap till you woke up.
Rose colored glasses are verrrrrrry expensive, yes, you can too see the forest for the trees. He's not that good and you're not that stoopid.

Gee - this guy is a cracker. I wouldnt even have considered a reconciliation and YES damn it he should pay.... I'd tell the Tax Office and let him deal with the consequeces... I hope SHE (the lover) also gets into big trouble. I think it is likely they will only cop a massive fine - they wouldnt be imprisoned for 1st offence. Honestly, Id have absolutely no hesitation. I can not stand liars let alone this kid of deceit..... I only hope u do not find other fraudulant activities which affect you later. Good Luck and God Bless.

It's a nasty can of worms. Don't open it unless you need to. Jail for both of them is possible. Certainly fines. The government has no heart, and if you are married your assets can be seized as well. Certainly he deserves to face the law, as does his girlfriend, but the law is blind and justice is unjust. You would end up paying for it in some ways as well. Screw the government. They don't answer to the people anymore so the people should not answer to them either.

It's called fraud...and yes they'll both get in hot water!
How much do you want this guy back anyway? The fact that the girlfriend knowingly forged your signature makes my skin crawl.
I'd report the bastard A.S.A.P.! If you wait, then your case against them isn't as strong, so just do it! You don't want a slime like that in your life!

Turn them both in. That is way over the top. Cheating is bad enough with in it self. However, stealing, forgery. That is a entirely different story. I wish you the best of luck, God bless****

They would go to prison! That is a MAJOR offense! I would say to stay away from him and move on with your life. Who knows what else he would do. And you should check your credit report to make sure he hasnt done anything else.

First off, stay away from him. He is using you. Something happened between this girl and him and he now coming back to you? That is fishy. I am speaking from experience. Don't turn your life upside down for a guy who has no respect for you. HE STILL DOESN'T!!!!!....Move on and report his ***!!!

I would press charges. They would have felony charges on them, and get probation or prison time. If you let someone walk on you they will do it until you stand up or yourself.
