The 2.8 Liter is offered with both 2wd and 4wd, the 2.5 Liter 4 is the standard motor and the 2.8 Liter V6 is the optional motor.
They didn't make the 4.3 Liter V6 motors until 1988

They made them in both 2 by and 4 by. Look at the floor console. See if there is a small stick there. Push button wasn't an option in 87. and if your still not convinced look under the front end and see if there is a pumpkin on the front axle.

gas injection might want to be an quite extreme priced replace over and does no longer develop overall performance. once you've a sparkling, properly adjusted carb, and also you've sturdy plugs and wires, then i might want to point a sturdy computing gadget diagnostics consultation at a respected independant song up keep. also there might want to be vacum leaks, and also you would possibly want to do a compression try on the engine. If all this checks out you've a wiped out timing equipment or timing chain (relies upon on engine variety). The chains at the on the spot are to not undesirable. The gears might want to correctly be a authentic coronary heart breaker. wish you've a collection.

Look for a differential on the front axel.... also check to see if you have a shifter for the transfer case inside your vehicle and locking hubs on the front wheels.
