This phenomena does not exist in Europe and I have no idea why and what it means in USA.

It's dumb. It's because some people are rich and some people are not. And they trail off into friends with money, and friends with less money...or something like that.

I would ignore it. It seems to be about rich chicks with dyed blonde hair and tight clothing. High school did not bother me. To this day, I have to put up with troublemaking women harassing me for not being like them. I do not care if I am 'not like them', I am there for the work, customers and money. I don't care what they do in their spare time and do not discuss them, really. So why discuss me? It is beyond normal chit-chat and opinions: it gets nosy, rude and intrusive. I hate gossip and interference.
