Tonight my girlfriend was making fun of track 4 (The Great Gig in the Sky) on Dark Side of the Moon. She said it wasn't good singing. So I told her that Pink Floyd was way better than Christina Aguilera, and she refused to believe it! I don't know what to do!?

Pink Floyd's worst song is better than Aguilera's best song. Dark Side of the Moon spent all most 12 years on Billboards top 200 albums. That record will never be broken.

Pink Floyd.

I don't think Christina Aquilera could hold her voice for the entirety of a song like Clare Torry, who sang that part in TGGITS.

Not that that's how I would judge the two, Pink Floyd is world's above her, you shouldn't even be asking this question.

anyone who compares those two is a music-iliterate , starting by the fact that Pink Floyd is music and Christina Aguilera is a just another money making machine and has nothing to do with music....

What can you do? Nothing, if she refuses to hear David Gilmore...
You can compare each one for fan base, album sales, and longevity to start with.

I go Pink Floyd against MOST of the tripe that is out there today anyway!

This incident just illustrates the cultural gap between an appreciation in timeless classic rock and instant gratification in a temporary pop icon.

Who will be around in 10yrs., if that? Who has been around for 30 already?
