Do you believe in Psychics?

Question

I'm not just talking about those people at carnivals and fairs who charge you $10 to read your palm or look into you're future.
I'm asking if you believe that some people, regardless of whether they use it for profit or not have the ability to see the future or have premonitions before an event actually happens?

For instance, my mother has told me a story about my great Grandmother. She had 3 sons and a daughter (my grandmother). One night she was asleep and woke up to find one of her sons sitting at the end of her bed and she talked with him for a while and he said he had come in to say good bye before he left.
She didn't think anything of it really and just went back to sleep.
The following morning, her sister came to the front door and told her that her son had been in a motorcycle accident and had died early the evening before.
In fact he had died hours BEFORE my great grandmother "spoke" with him in her bedroom.
What are your feelings on the subject?

Yes, I think that some people are able to communicate in ways most aren't. I also think that others are able to lead us in directions that make it appear that they can read our minds or tell our future, but that they are drawing upon your own selfconsious to solve quesitons and problems. I believe your grandmother's story, mostly because I've heard similar testimony and have had similar experiences which leave no room for doubt. Scientifically speaking, some people actually are more sensitive to electrical fields and such so it would make logical sense that they would be more receptive to other things. Its easy to be skeptical, but I've had enough personal experiences to accept that there is a lot going on around us that no one sees, including myself.

I do believe in psychic abilities. We humans only use 10% of our brain power. Who knows. After my dad died maybe a week or a month after I had a dream and he was there and we were laughing our butts off, it was great, at the end of the dream I knew someone had died but I did not know who, then I realized it was my dad, as I woke up I was still laughing but a bit sad but I took a lot of comfort in getting to laugh with my dad one last time. My sister and I would sometimes have the same thought at the same time. I do believe people have tuned or exercised their psychic ability.

Yes, but I don't think anyone can be psychic all the time. I mean that you can't answer everyone's questions, sometimes you just don't feel anything. Even Sylvia Browne isn't psychic all the time. I've seen her on Montel a few times and you can see when she really sees something for the person and when she's just making up something believable.
I don't understand why psychics aren't just honest and say they don't always know, I guess they're afaraid people will stop coming to them, but it's still dumb.

I have read about some kid who described the surgery
carried on her when she was nearly dead(in coma)
and had no chance of surviving

The doctor who did the surgery has recorded other such
incidents which seem supernatural,but have taken place
That was about life after death,
Regarding psychics,or having premonitions before an event
actually happens is something I haven't experienced or
heard. So, I don't believe in it.

Yes, I do. I met this woman who told me a lot about what was going to happen.....about 90% has, even though I have been doing every thing I can not for it to come true. She has been so accurate. It is also very scarey.

Some people are gifted. They are real. Only open-minded people believe in such things. Too bad not everyone believes since only a few can see for themselves.

Cool story about your great grandma.
I believe everyone has it in them.Some people are more in tuned with it then others.My mom is very intuitive.She's very spiritual also.But I wouldn't say she's psychic.It's very calming to be around her.
I would say if ya believe in it,it'll work.If ya don't,then it doesn't work.The mind is capable of more then ya realize.Hope this makes sense!

I think we all know something, just some of us are connected with it more than others. A lot of times I find myself crying for no reason and soon after something really bad happens.

i think humans have an ability to connect deep inside themselves in time of need and distress, and everyone has this, i think some people are more intuitive and in tune with themselves,
