I don't understand why you would press Ctrl + Alt + Delete.
In XP this brings up the windows task manager...... i've never seen a place to enter a pw in there.

Try starting in safe-mode, usually by pressing F8, log on as Administrator and try saving your work. Then reset your password, this is a quote taken from the User accounts " If a user with a computer administrator account changes the password for another user, that user will lose all personal certificates, and stored passwords for Web sites or network resources. " Hope this is helpful.

Check to make sure the CAPS lock is not on. 90% of the time that is the error, you can also reset the password if that does not work by following the link below.

If you are refering to the windows password in xp. All you have to do is log into your computer in safe mode. Click on administration accounts. Then go into control pannel user accounts. Pick your account that you need to change the password. Change it and restart computer. And presto there you go. But if you set up the admin password and it asks you for admin password. you will have to take it to a best buy. or comp usa and have them fix it for you.
