Law is the retaining factor in the execise of man's freedom;if not man would have long returned to the state of nature.Discuss ?

If we treated each other with the respect we expect to be treated with, we wouldn't need any laws.

Laws do not create freedom, they create a recognisable framework that most people feel they can consent to. The exchange of freedom for security, because we can't do the above.

It represents the lesser of two evils, the other being anarchy.
