others xp cd key valid in my xp reapir option?

i have ibm thinkpad notebook.i forgot my administrator login passowrd.i wanna repair my OS.i dont have xp sp2 cd.its a preloated OS.
if i go to repair my xp,i lost my genune OS.if,in repair procecs,i can enter others genune xp cd key,its works or not?it can be repair my OSand instal genune or piracy?

you need to call tech support for the company and have them send you out a reinstall CD it will either be free or cost less than 20 bucks- another disk will not work- the are programmed for the hard drive of the computer it is registered to

You can use another key, but there is s/w available for you to read your own key.
