yep, teams that were way under the cap spending wild amounts...a pile of Bills and Dolphins leaving for the dough...Bears holding out on coach, then failing to lock up their number one back...Porter,hgh??? players hinting at retiring to keep from being traded...team in top draft spot cant afford squat...all we need now is for Pac man to join the Bengals to up the arrest count...next thing you know youll be telling me Vick is reading the playbook...or that Moss is going to New England...

It's been pretty crazy.
Just on the coaches front - After only 2 or 3 coaches were expected to leave we have 6 including the coach of the team with the best record (SD 14-2). A super bowl coach almost didn't get his contract renewed and then they let go their defensive coordinator. Saban swears he's not going anywhere and then leaves 2 weeks later. Another coach declares he wants to coach college - 3 weeks BEFORE the end of the season! TO chases Parcells into retirement (again!)

The player front hasn't been that crazy (except for the amount of money because the salary cap ballooned) - particularly because you don't have the world's greatest fantasy football team owner over-paying for washed up players like Adam Archuleta and Deion Sanders. =:-o

Just goes to show that there is no offseason in the NFL!

Definitely you've got so many players on the move. Joe Horn, Jake Plummer, Jeff Garcia, Joey Porter, 3/4's of the Dolphins offense, Ahman Green, Jamal Lewis and Adalius Thomas just to name a few. And of course you have a Plummer retirement and a HGH scandal brewing in the midst. Should definitely make for just as crazy of a season.

Overall, I would have to say yes, with players like Vonnie Holiday getting paid like 5-6 million a year? Someone who has done nothing his entire career and he is washed up!?!?! This is one of many examples of players who arent very good getting huge contracts, simply because teams have to spend so much money. I think it is a joke. Pair that with so many big/semi-big names switching teams and I think it definitely ranks as the oddest.

Although the biggest trade ever was clinton portis to the redskins for champ bailey to the broncos. i thought they were crazy for trading portis, but looks like they will have the best corner in the league for a long time.

By what standard? The Contracts and amount of pay, well then so far but wait until you see next year. If you go by F.A. and that then not really. Just some what normal, but we forget from year to year.

the only thing crazy about has been the **** load of money that mid level players are getting. especially o linemen. there are numbers out there right now that are just crazy and the ravens giving willis 40 million and porter getting 20 million guarenteed. i think the craziest thing about this off season is lance briggs. i mean wtf is he thinking he needs to stop bitching and play football all ready.
