The left side is the easy side, something you may or may not want, but is easy to attain, will make you content, but may not keep your happy for long.

The right side is the hard side, something you really want, but is difficult to attain, you probably won't even get it, it will keep you happy the longest, but you may not get anything at all and may be worst off than if you had not even driven at all...

Which road do you take? You can't do straight...I know I want to go straight to...but you have to pick...left or right?

For me? I am still deciding....

You Will come to many of these forks.

Truth is it doesn't really matter which one that you pick because each one will eventually take you to the exact same destination.

The way may be different, but all roads lead home.

Love and blessings Don

Actually if the easy road is more attainable then i would go for the harder one just to get it out of the way and guess what! The easy trek would be more than likely on the harder one anyway only there is the knowledge of the journey from the harder path to guide you... so i guess the harder road is the first choice, but there is always allot of smaller challenges ahead no matter what you decide. So since there is a better chance of self improvement i would definitely take the harder road. Since my outlook on life has been that the major goals i intend to attain are normally riddled with obstacles i face each obstacle as a new goal... What I'm trying to say is that though there is a major goal at the end I would feel more fulfilled completing each of the smaller challenges in my way. Then, at least I know that I have been moving in some direction and I might just pick up a few good stories along the way.

Who really wants to hear that you made red koolaid... Hooray right? But if you made the red koolaid from water that came from a natural spring and had to go three states over just to get the water. Then went to a sugar cane farm to get the sugar for it. took it home and mixed it with your best Friends alcohol that they just got back from overseas so the party you're at now is going off without a hitch then i think that koolaid just made the interesting story list...

In the end as long as you enjoyed the trip then it doesn't matter which way you go...

I do not think the forked road [Of life(?)] turns into a choice to be made from right or left.
And there is no collective life which offers a "take a right or left at its' fork point.
And some people do choose to go on a straight path . . and thusly, become Blind. Numb. But to such people this is also life.
Each human life is different.
That forked point in the road, should we be sufficiently aware of it, when we come upon it - is particularly and only our own. No one else has even a similar choice.
What makes the difference whether your choice is the right or the wrong choice, is decided by what intuition you have viscerally at that forked point in the road.
If you viscerally decide which path to take with courage, with the inklings of your heart and soul, and not just your cautious intellect, chances are you'll make the appropriate choice for yourself!
Oh, no, It may not be an easy path, nor one surrounded by primrose - but it will be the path meant for you to take . . and you, I can assure you, will have the capacity, and eventually the peace of mind to handle it well, and satisfactorily, as the choice that was the ONLY one to take!

The purpose is to go straight, so when you come to the fork in the road, choose for yourself - left or right. Then when you get to the next fork, choose the opposite of what you did last time. This will keep you going straight, in stead of all right, or all left. If you choose too many rights, then you're just going in a circle. The only time I would choose a hard path all the time is when it comes to things addictive, or illegal, or both. You'll be happier & healthier you if choose the hard paths there. If it's something not addictive, or illegal, and you're having a hard time deciding, let fate be your guide. 2 pieces of paper, a pen, and a hat is all you need. Write "Left" on 1 piece of paper, and "right" on the other. Drop them in a hat. Without looking into the hat, choose a piece of paper, and read your fate. If your religous, you may wanna pray before you draw a paper from the hat. The Lord works in mysterious ways. Good luck to you.

i remember this question being asked when i was in Sunday school. How you answer this question will determine who you will become.quick solutions to short term happiness is never the way to go .just ask the bank robber in jail.after the quick gain and the happiness ends what do you have left. if you desire something that is best for you then the road on the right is the way to go .its important to realize that those things that are worth attaining are worth the effort.life holds no guarantees or promises that things will work out the way we want.but the road on the right will earn yourself respect and the respect of your peers .The left side will work but since its short term happiness you will repeatedly keep having to make trips to the left fork. in other words walking down the road again and again.Since it is the same road you aren't going anywhere new. the right road is harder but the journey is taking me somewhere i want to go. i choose the right road

Well, interesting question. Based on your description, And because the right road may cause things to get worse, I think I would have to take the left. Otherwise, normally i would have stayed on the right path, had it not been for that one statement. You see, I am not afraid to take the hard road, or even of not getting what I desired, but there is risk on either path, so the path that may lead to better outcomes would seem the better choice. But on the other hand I am not stupid, so why chance making matters worse if I can play it safe and possibly see the same end.

Life is a process. Whichever road you take will be the right road, because life is hard and goals keep changing. The left road turns into the difficult road once you choose. The way you work out those difficulties helps you learn and grow. What you think would make you happy sometimes doesn't and what you think will be the most horrible thing to happen to you might turn out to be the best thing. So I just live each day, making choices that seem best. Sometimes I've been wrong and sometimes I've been ok. I think I've learned the biggest lessons from my failures.

1. The road of life is a circular track and there is an invisible elephant who comes out now and then and leaves a big pile of dung on the track for you to have to deal with, how you deal with the dung is your challenge.

2. Assuming I am wrong and you find this fork in the road you can do the masculine thing and go whichever way you please or the feminine thing and stop and ask directions. It is up to you. At any rate you will get some where regardless.

I believe the forks in life are more than a three pronged fork. I believe our forks in the road are millions of choices with a million variations that can lead us to the next fork. Often the easy road ends up being the most difficult one.

When you think about it, each second of our life there are so many variables that one choice leads us to a million different choices and one split second choice can totally change the outcome of our lives.....sometimes for the better and other times for the worst.

I would take the right side. Even though is the hardest and even though I may not reach the end, I am sure that I will be wiser, stronger and more content with myself at the end of this journey.
Taking the easiest way means running form your fears, and if you do that, they eventually catch up with you. You can't escape.
So, I just say to myself: "what does not kill you, makes your stronger".
