i am 12 weeks pregnant with my first child and i went in for an ultrasound today. my doc says she can't find any heartbeat. i am so worried.

Can't find fetal heartbeat?
i am 12 weeks pregnant with my first child and i went in for an ultrasound today. my doc says she can't find any heartbeat. i am so worried. i haven't had any signs of miscarriage.

Oh sweetie, I'm so sorry for the worry. However, don't think the worst. The doctor had a very hard time finding my fetal heartbeat with this pregnancy. He started to get worried about it then there is was,, then it was gone again...then back. Maybe you have what I have, an active little swimmer. The important thing is to not think the worst till you know something forsure. He would have had more tests done if he thought something was wrong with the baby.

I'm so sorry for what u r feeling at the moment....i have been there too......my advice to you is not to panic yet.....I had the same thing at 12 weeks and went back a week later to find all was well......because the baby was not far enough up at 12 weeks to be able to listen to the heartbeat. a good sign that all is well, is if you are well and not experiencing any pain or bleeding,this is by no means a guarantee it is a good indication......i have my fingers crossed for you and hope all is well

My wife's first ultrasound was with a probe stuck in the v.... We thought she was 12 weeks, but our baby was only 9 weeks old and the woman doctor was able to find the heartbeat with that thing.

Are you going to have an ultrasound? Sometimes a heartbeat can't be heard before 13 weeks. Don't worry too much yet it could be ok.

Did she do a sonogram?When I went to my doctor for the first time at 12 weeks she couldn't find the heartbeat either so she gave me a sonogram and found it.If your doctor did not do this I would look in to getting another doctor!I'm sure it's probably nothing to worry about.It might just be to soon but still you need a sonogram.CONGRATS!!

OK EVERYONE SHE SAID SHE HAD A ULTRA SOUND TODAY. Well I have experienced this both the good and the bad ways! They told me the are suppose to hear it at 10 wks but sometimes they have the due date off because only we know the actual date of conception and we may not even know. Also did the do a vaginal Sonogram because the baby is so small they might need to do that. And also they can check your HCG blood levels and that can tell them if you have miscarried or if you are going too.

the same thing happened to me... they waited a few weeks and everything was ok... some babys grow differently... if your doctor wasnt concerned than everything is probably ok... just make sure that you get an ultrasound to make sure that you didnt have a miscarage.

That happen to one of my friends and she went to another doctor and everything was OKay maybe u should get a 2ND opinion don't stress about it its not good for the baby.
