Considering that we count the speed of light at 186,000 miles per second. You would have to move 186,000 miles in one second without any lag or slowdown, AND be back where you started 1 second ago, in order to see a jump.
If I were going to do it at all, I wouldn't worry about one second, but rather go back to my high school days and thump me in the back of the head when I needed it the most!

This is a trick question, which is actually quite trivial. How far? Irrelevant. How fast? Irrelevant. Whatever the fast and the far, it takes exactly 1 second to travel 1 second into the future.

Your question is poorly phrased. If you travel at a given speed, how long will it take for a one second difference to exist between your frame and the relative resting frame.
Based on the time dilation:
T = t / â(1-v²/c²)
You want to solve for t in:
t+1 = t / â(1-v²/c²)
There is a solution for all v>0.
You have to define distance based on the the moving or resting frame.

The lorentz factor is given by (the factor in which time is slowed by)
1/sqrt (1-v^2/c^2)
so assuming that you want to slow time by 50%, you will need to travel at sqrt 0.5 times the speed of light, ~ 2*10^8 m/s
to be behind by 1 second, just multiply that by 1/0.5 ... that will give you 4*10^8 m/s
(in a single equation, it will be)
d=v*sqrt (1-v^2/c^2)

I don't remember the equation but I do remember at 90% the speed of light an object would be 20% slower, so that might help with the math...

it will take 45 minutes after taking the LSD to enable time dilation and accelerated cognition. you wont go into the future, but will accelerate fast enough to stop your sense of time feel.
the 'pause' button is pushed, and you are free to roam forever as the space has no time.

Sit completely still for 1 second.
Done.
Seriously, such questions are pretty meaningless because they misunderstand how time works and the fact that its passage is relative.
