Yes. I think the word "art" in the name "digital art" gives it away.

Art is art wherever it is stored. A photo of a great painting has most of the same artisitic values as the painting. Whether the photo is stored digitally or on film doesn't matter. Admittedly an oil painting has texture which isn't available on digital art, but there are things you can in the digital world (such as motion) that you can't do in an oil painting. So "digital" is a medium.

I do a variety of techniques. I even have a graphic pen to hand draw some of my pictures. I use a variety of programs to work on my art. I have shown several of my digital pictures at a coffee house that rotates their art showing some amazing local artists.
Yes .......digital art is legit.

All art is subjective.

Obviously, digital "art" is covered by copyright law, so in one respect it is definitely creative work.

Like any other art form, there is plenty of stuff which is crap, but truly great digital art is rare.

yes, the media and technics are new and different however if someone puts thought and effort into it I consider it art.

Yes definitely.Have you ever tried your hand at it. Its, if not equal but,more difficult to conventional art.Requires dexterity,patience,lotsa brain and a skillful hand.
