~If you have a hypothesis, research it, support it and prove it. Don't try to impress me by posting your whim here and try to get me to do it for you. You can't and I won't.

Your ignorance of the topic is obvious from your question, as anyone truly conversant with the "illuminati" would be cognizant of the fact that the generic term refers to a number of separate and distinct groups, some real and some mythical, and for that reason alone would deign to use the term in the first instance.

Hit the books and come back with something at least interesting if not relevant.

I would say yes in the fact that both are fictional yet based on some degree of exaggerated truth and legend.
