The root cause of corruption, as I see are:-

1) The electoral system that demands that you need to have a lot of money for fighting the elections and running the political parties.

2) The well-entrenched nexus between the politicians and the criminals.

The answer lies is starting of a very big movement, a total revolution, as envisaged by J.P. Narayan.

Initially it is the fear of being thrown below the poverty line.
Subsequently the greed for easy mney finally it becomes a secondary nature. It haas gone so deep that you cannot get an fir copy without paying the cop.

difficulty, poverty and greed & power.

3rd world countries - poverty. government servants, e.g. policemen salary below poverty

developing countries - difficulty. income above poverty, but burden by credit facilities, commitments.

advanced countries - greed & power. good standard of living, but they need more than just that. Need to buy luxuries, votes, & power.
