I'm a Golden State Warriors fan and Monta Ellis is always the highlight of the team. His quickness, explosiveness, and hustle make him a great player to watch. My question is, do you think he'll be star in this league? And can he be an All-Star?

I know he plays behind Baron Davis and Jason Richardson right now, but with injuries and other issues, I can't see that lasting much longer. What do you all think?

I think it depends, it won't happen in the next 5 years. There is way too many better guards, that being said he is really impressive.
He is making great strides and should be one of the better guards but not an all-star guard. Just who is he going to replace?
He's really young, wait in 5 years or so when Nash, Iverson etc are done and he could get a spot as a reserve.
As long as McGrady/Bryant in the West, they got the starting position locked up just because they don't distinguish between a PG/SG/Combo in the voting and they're both still fairly young.
Ellis is definitely part of the new blood, there are also guards that I would say are better than Ellis now too, incl. Deron Williams.
If he somehow went to the Eastern conference, then defintely he would be.

he will be an all star in the nba. give him 2 years. monta is one of the quickest players in the league and and excellent finisher. he isnt as good of a PG as Baron Davis but he's definetly more durable. He's a better scorer and shooter than J Rich too. nothing against JR but he bases his entire game on his atheltic ability. he isnt a great outside shooter or scorer, just amazingly athletic and strong. ideally they keep all 3.

It looks doubtful. He's a good player but he lacks a broad range of skills at this point. His team isn't particurlarly high profile. He's sitting behind players in his own team. He needs the team to draft some amazing guy who turns it all around to realistically become an All-Star in the next 5 years.

Yes, I think he'll be an all-star. The scout around the nba noticed this. Once his contract expired, I think there'll be many teams bidding for his service.

When he's playing with the other team, then he'll be a legitimate all-star.

lol, sry guy yet lebron james is the best participant interior the league now. enable's purely study his result on the sphere and what Cleveland grew to alter into on condition that he has been playin for them. Kobe is remarkable( ability sensible and he can placed some D), wade is nice yet not wonderful, Carmelo is a robust scorer, and kevin durant is a robust scorer too... yet in actual actuality that LBJ is the main finished participant is the League

bro it doesn't matter if he played behind Kobe...he plays for the warriors and THAT and only that is what is holding him down (no offense). When they draft or trade for a center, and stay healthy, they all will be all stars!
