Yes, it's contagious. And if you read this answer, then sorry, you caught it.

I work with a gay man on a daily basis. In fact, I consider him among my best friends. I've never had any sexual inclinations towards him, and I'm still happily married to my female wife, who I continue to find gorgeous and sexually attractive.

However, I suppose if you have any homosexual tendencies, then being around homosexuals is probably a stimulation for it, and you may begin to act more like a gay man. No matter what, if you're secure in your sexuality, you have nothing to worry about.

Absolutely not. It is not contagious and does not rub off. I have about 5 friends who are gay and it's definitely not rubbed off on me, nor am I more likely to "become" a homosexual. Not that you can just BECOME one. Homosexuality is genetic, you can hang around with all the gay people you want and it's not going to change a thing.... except that you might be more open minded about life and less prejudiced towards people who are different to you.

I wish it would rub off though...maybe then people would have a sense of humour, be fun to be around and enjoy having a good time...and be well dressed :-p. I've never had more fun than on nights out with my gay friends.

Although there is the general saying that nothing is impossible.. i think it is unlikely ..
scientifically speaking behavioral science shows that ;

A ; depending on the first time of exposure( On the sexuall evolution ladder)

B: depending on the period of exposure

C: depending on extracurricular attachment factors (Best freind , famil y, pals )
the likelyhood wouold increase..
there is another independent aspect which actually fits in all the above mentioned categories.... Curiousity!!!!
that means after a while you would definately want o try , ,to know what is happening , to know wht turnsss this people on .. what is the hidden secret .. and since it is next door .. you would try!! maybe once may be 2x.. how many times do you need to be considered homom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i would have liked to talk abit about the psychology of sexuality...... I would like you answer this question first....do you think evolution could have made the hands a sex organ .. i mean such that when you join them you aquire orgasm( may sound funny but the sense behind it is among others, what is the real purpose of sex?

OK... no need for the "F" word. It's intent is hate.
It is not "contagious". That is just trying to blame someone else for your true feelings.
I wish it were contagious... then I'd rub myself all over Ryan Reynolds... Oh hell, it's worth a try!

I jokingly call this fear gay-o-phobia. It's the fear that shaking a man's hand that is limp, holding a purse for a moment, standing too close to a guy who doesn't act guy-ish, or anything like that, can spread the gay germs.
The cure for this is to do something macho, quick, before someone's gay-dar hones in and there might be suspicion.

Many people who suffer from gay-o-phobia also suffer from insecurity, immaturity, and rationality.

Ah but then what about gays who hang out with straights, how come Willy Wanker doesnt wake up one day and yell "Glory be, I''ve caught straightness?"

Homosexuality aint contagious, you are who you are. I think its when someone who thought they where straight finds out they are gay, people go "Oh my stars and garters! Lil' Jimmy's caught the Homo virus."

So relax out there guys, you're butts are safe!

That's like asking "if you hang around with athletes all day, will you become one? And those who hang around with lazy-fat@sses, are they less likely to become athletic?"

w.t.h. Homosexuality is not a disease. Therefore, it cannot be spread like one.
