Only one summer when I was taking 9 hrs of French to finish my Foreign Language major! It really was interesting--but I was constantly immersed in study, conversation and writing in the language. I think that's probably pretty normal and would occur if living in a foreign country and interacting with the citizens of that country. I was so busy in study and with my French professor--French was all that she would speak with me--that my mind just was thinking in French, instead of translating.
