Many Americans are against immigrants because immigrants usually take away their jobs... I’m from India, a trained computer specialist who currently works for Dell’s organization.
I’m certainly not opposing Americans offensively here, but I must say I am astonished that America is a rich country, especially since most Americans aren’t so enlightened.
Approximately 80% of Americans fail to grasp the meaning of these 1st grade words ( Then, than, their, there, to, too, two, your, you’re).
What really puzzles me, though, is how America is a rich country. We can leisurely find smarter people from Africa compared to those in America, and yet America is one of the richest countries in the world, while Africa is one of the poorest countries in the world. I am not saying Americans are dumb at all, but they’re not smart people; at least not one of the top 10.

In my country we have lots of doctors and computer specialists. I don’t think American doctors have ever discovered something unique on their own, but they always have the money to pay us immigrants to do their dirty laundry. My question is: How come the Americans are so rich, especially that not even the English teacher teaches proper English in the United States?

Boy, you hit the nail on the head. Look at you - proper spelling, grammar and all. Of course - you are not from this country! My own theory is that America became rich first, and now people are becoming lazy. You're right - I, too, am astonished at how native English speakers cannot grasp the simplest spelling, punctuation and grammar rules. I often get complimented on my written and verbal expression... And English is my second language (I came to the US at the age of 18, after having studied English at school).

Yes I am clever.
My English grammars messed up because I am hearing impaired.
Well Africa... *clear throat*.... Smart people need
to know how to solve povery and starvation down there.
You guys focus so much on education or want to be an
American Citizen.... but you guys don't look after one
another in Africa or other poor country.
To tell ya the truth, America is not a rich country.
We spend money on stuff to keep the economy going...
We put money on movies, alcohol, junk foods, theme parks and everything we don't really need.... we help each other
get wealthy.

America is rich because they are key investors in the World Bank , and they make money off poorer countries through things like the monetary fund.

Americans arnt smart, glad u noticed. nor do i think their a rich country, they are not rich in morality or intellectually, only rich in military, Greed & being the most unpractical civilization ever existed, i spose you are from india, living an american dream???? and living in america has blinded u by this ridiculous question, U are Indian asking Americans are you smart......Well ur not a smart Indian sorry to spoil ur curry, what do you think of your country??
