Well, for one...it really isn't appropriate to demand proof of a person's marital status that you are dating. Of course you do not want to date or even marry someone who is not divorced and/or single for a number of practical as well as moral and lawful reasons.

I guess you could just ask her, but if she has informed you that she is divorced, that should be sufficient unless she has demonstrated reason to doubt her truthfulness. If you are unable to trust her, it might be that you are not suitably secure for a serious relationship. It is almost certain that you will offend her if you demand some proof of her every time she shares part of her past, a secret, or confides in you. Your chances for a healthy and happy relationship will be almost nil, if she is constantly being scrutinized for your standard of proof in other matters as well.

Possibly she is seperated but not divorced yet or less likely she is using you to cheat on her husband.
If you know where she divorced it should be possible to check the legal records but I don't think any kind of global search system exists.
If you think that she is still married and she is still with her husband you have a real problem as you are being used. If you know that she is not with her ex then it doesn't really matter unless you want to marry her. In that case she needs to divorce first or it is bigamy and a criminal offence.
aybe a private investigator could help but if you want to search yourself it all depends on local record keeping standards.

Ask her that you wanted to come and visit her family, her kid( if she has any).Or said you wanted to cook a dinner at her place. Said that you wanted to spend time with her as much as she can. Call her really late once awhile just to say you miss her. See if she can pick up the phone. If she is still attach to someone, she couldn't do all that. Ask for a proof ,it's not a good idea.

really now why didn't you ask for that before you started dating ??? and well I just hope that if she is really divorced she should not keep that from you , let her know that you would like to see the final paper work ,, and if she won't then break up with her , she is obviously hiding something ...

Unless she is really a shady person just believe her. I know lots of divorced people and it's not exactly something you have to carry around with you and show people...kind of weird you want to see them. Makes me think you think she's lying so you shouldn't be with her any way.

If you have good moral values, of course you would want to make sure she is divorced.

I don't think you should be dating someone who has kids. My opinion.

Search the internet. You can find a background check service. This will show any criminal or marriage history for a small fee.

It's not the best way, but if you really have doubts...
