i think it will be better to check flash website, and evaluate it yourself by installing a demo version

Advantages:
i) It's vector-base thus smaller file size (depending on the complexity of the design though)
ii) Vector-base graphics are also resizeable with zero quality lost
iii) Flash ActionScript 2.0 can be used to create programs in Flash
iv) A flash website viewed in mobile phone looks better than normal website
v) Loading feature made things like YouTube possible
Disadvantages:
i) It has a steep learning curve on the ActionScript part
ii) Loading is good but not knowing how to seperate every objects will make loading a seriously bad idea
iii) The ready-made components are useless as they're not Internet-friendly
iv) Designing a good Flash website takes a lot of planning
v) Programming a Flash program requires a very layer/frame-minded programming mind. (it's very complex)

-makes for attractive, full featured web design, if done correctly
-features included for advanced graphics manipulation
-easy to learn from experience of use, tons of fun and POWERFUL
DISADVANTAGES
-higher quality flash files utilize actionscript, which can be hard to master
-larger files may have longer load times
-many features to learn
-pages designed in flash may not be as user-friendly as plain html pages, depending on the web-designer
-may be difficult to figure out for users with low experience with this type of software

1. Web site will need lots of disk space
2. It will take longer to load in a browser
3. Screen-readers for the blind can't read flash or shockwave files
