My son currently has an Anderson Techfire double wall bat that I bought for him last year. Its a little heavy for him, so I want to get a lighter bat. What is the best one to get?

I own a baseball training center and retail store, so I see all the bats and get lots of feedback from my customers.

WIthout reservation, the best youth baseball bats out there are the TPX Catalyst (Louisville Slugger) and the Stealth Comp (Easton). Catalyst comes in a -13 and -10, is a one piece design and has a balanced swing weight. Stealth Comp is available in -9 and -11 with a slightly end loaded swing weight and a two piece design.

I can successfully argue either one to be the best, the the real answer is which one feels better to your son.

If you want to stay away from the composites, the TPX Dynasty is the best all-aluminum bat made. Period. The Stealth (not the comp, but the "old stealth" is great too.

The Anderson you mention is a great bat, the first 200 times you hit it. After that, the pop starts fading. I can't remember someone coming into my store and purchasing their 2nd Anderson. Easton and Slugger have very loyal repeat customers.

Rawlings, Worth, Nike, Demarini.....don't even bother. But that new Miken Burn.....very promising. Time will tell.

Easton Stealth is definitely one of the best baseball bats. If you go to easton.com it has all the different variations of the Stealth.
