What happens when your wter breaks when your pregnant? Will the water all come out and your undies be soaking wet or what?? How do you know if your water broke?

my waters broke while i was standing, feels like you just wet yourself. gushed out. when my mum was pregnant with me, she was loosing water so slowly over a few days she didnt think anything of it. doctor had to use forceps to get me out.

With my first child, I had been mowing the lawns earlier in the day,( she wasn't due for another 3 weeks and I was busy nesting.) I was sitting on a bar stool at home having dinner and a friend popped around to say Hi. I got up to give him a kiss and the next thing I know Niagara Falls was coming out between my legs!!!! It was so weird!! It was like a geyser! Anyway, you will know when it happens!!! I had to go and stand in the bath until it subsided a bit!!! Hope that isn't TMI!

Depends, if it's just your fore waters then there will just be a trickle but if it's your hind waters as well the yes there will be a bit of a gush! When my waters broke it woke me up there was a kind of pop in my lower abdomen but some women even hear this pop!

I think it varies from a slight trickle for some to a gush for others. My friend did not even notice her water breaking while mine powerfully gushed out of my body in a matter of seconds.

well,i think u will know it naturally. ur undies might get wet and u can't control the water from flowing out.

i always wondered the same thing! i guess since we havent experienced it yet we wouldnt really know how it is..or how it feels when your water breaks....but i have been told by my doctor that its like you pissed your pants..like it would be noticable..b/c i have a wet discharge and it kinda feels like i peed my self..but its only a little and my doctor said thats normal discharge..soo ehh i guess the only way to tell if your water broke..is if you experienced it b4

Some times it can leak and others will all come out you'll know if it all comes out than labor will began here comes the pain

I suppose its different for everyone, i can only tell you that when it happened to me it was like id wet myself, and after the initial gush it sort of keeps trickling out.

With me both times it started as a trickle and did not "Break" until I was on the hospital bed.
