In the old days, most people would have said dramamine, but now that's pass'e. If you're willing to take Western (not natural) medicine, the best stuff is an over the counter med called meclizine. It's used to treat vertigo (dizziness) and motion sickness, too. It works pretty well, only don't take more than the recommended dose, 12.5 milligrams, or it can backfire on you. Take it about an hour before travel, and you can take one every four to six hours after that, no more than four times a day. If it doesn't work by itself, take it with 25 (not 50!) milligrams of plain old Benadryl.

Do you only get sick when you are sitting on a certain side of the car? I ask because one of my friends only gets carsick when she sits on the left side of the car (except when she is driving). You should try sitting in different seats in the car to see if there is one seat that is better for you. If I ever feel like I'm getting sick, then I close my eyes and put my head back for a few minutes, but that might make it worse for you. And if I know I'm going to be reading in the car, then I make sure I have something to sip on periodically.

meclizine i believe it is also called marazine. Don't use Dramamine it is the worse thing on the market and it gives you a horrible hangover.the meclizine works great and you don't feel groggy or sick from it.You can get it over the counter at the pharmacy but you have to ask the pharmacist for it.(they keep it behind the counter)

i used to get hte worst car sickness. if the ride is long enough take dramamine, it puts u right out... but if it is too short of a ride, but u know ull still get car sick, then sit in the front seat and watch out of the fron window, do not watch the things flying past you. that used to make me sick sooo fast.

just look in front at the road...its the best thing...and try to feel confident that you are NOT gonna feel sick...and try to think about sumthing else like a party or your friends or something serious perhaps...or talk to someone when in the car...that will help distract your mind.

Try driving with the window down, ginger-either fresh or the capsules from a health store. Does it help if you drive instead of being a passenger?

Stay out of the back seat or drive yourself . Usually only passengers get it .Dramamine helps .

Walking. Or ride a bike.

If you've tried everything, then there's nothing left.
