In the Mongul Empire Aurangzeb kept Shah Jahan under house arrest at the Red Fort in Agra. Legends concerning this imprisonment abound, for the fort is ironically close to Shah Jahan's great architectural masterpiece, the Taj Mahal.

He didn't kill his father because he was already sick he just chucked him in prison until he died.

Also Alexander the Great is rumored to have had a hand in his father's (Phillip ll) death.

in literature, Claudius slayed hs brother, regicide and fratricide double whammy, in Shakespeare's Hamlet in order to seize power. He went one further and married Hamlet's mother Gertrude. Thus Hamlet's uncle became his father.... Subsequently Hamlet enacted revenge upon his uncle-father, by he died as well. Was a tragedy really...

And of course the classic Oedipus Rex, prophesised to kill his father then marry his mother and father children by her... a greek play by Sophocles.

In mythology... hmm
