Some participants are "top contributers",and some aren't.Can anyone explain this?

i'm guessing, but i stay here all the time, and just saw a "TC" with 2200 points. i see you have about the same. maybe your points are spread into different categories, whereas the person with the same points stays in P&S.

Top contributors answer questions they really know something about. This give them a great ratio of answers to best answers.

It is based on several factors, your amount of like or dislike factor among the Yahoo judges, the amount of money you have donated to the Yahoo widows and orphans fund, etc.

To be honest nobody knows the real answer for that. Yahoo has not told us, But I have 2, celebrites and polls and surveys, i think u just have to answer lots in certain catagorys, or it may have something to with best answers

I can't explain it. I only just noticed it today. I presume it means you ask or answer alot of questions in the one category

if major portion of your answers belong to a particular category you will be called a top contributor to that category.

I imagine you have to answer a certain number of questions (a lot!), and I'm sure that number is listed somewhere on this site...
