i am irish but not born in irland...i was think of getting a tattoo of the word erie..what does it me exactly...i think it mean irish pride but i could be wrong..thanks

I couldn't find out anything about the word erie, meaning Irish pride.....and if you are not sure and most others aren't sure.....no one will know what it means if you have it tattooed on yourself!

You could make up your own Irish meaning to go with it, if anyone asks, and people would be none the wiser :-))

I really hope you mean Eire and not Erie. That's a Great Lake you know--caught fire in the eighties because of all the pollution. Yes, I really really REALLY hope you mean Eire!
