I think that answer was a human misinterpretation of God's love and intentions.
As humans we frequently misinterpret these things.

but only being able to view your answer you are correct but said it in the wrong manner. what they would have cheered with you on is if you would have said " God is the judge or God handles all things or God handled it or they have been cursed by God!
you catch my drift you did nothing wrong they just got angry cause they are so used to everyone quoting from the new testament and they dont understand anything original and that is what your responds is!

They have to blame someone don't they. Unfortunatly we humans have a very bad habit of putting the blame on someone else or there religion. It is so human.
Next it will be your neighbour or the grocer or the candle stick maker., as long as its not yourself.
