I used to do this a lot when I was younger:

I thought the Grapes of Wrath was about a vineyard where people make wine.

I thought To Kill a Mockingbird was about a bird (I still haven't read this book yet, but I will!)

Of course...I'm sure almost everybody judges a book by it's title. And read To Kill A Mockingbird it's a good book...and no it's not about a bird

Sometimes, because if the title isn't interesting or grabs my attention, I usually pass it up. But now I just pick a book up and read the summary on the back.

omg yesss!!!

i got harry potter and the philosophers stone before it became popular (i was 7) and i thought it would be about a boy called harry philosophising about making pottery! ( i did actually know the word philosophising -- i asked my mum!)

and by the way to kill a mockingbird is an awesome book!!!

(and i also thought it would be about a bird!)

Nor a book my it's cover! Never judge a person just by looks alone! U will be surprised! Just like you were with the books.

No but I have made the mistake of judging a book by its movie.
