GO SEAHAWKS

The Seahawks will win it all this season. The Seahawks are a perrenial playoff team and never get smoke in the playoffs. All the games are tooth and nail. What was it that Hasselbeck said in Green Bay in OT, "we want the ball and we're gonna score!". The Seahawks then lost on the final play to the Rams only for the Rams to get spanked by the Falcons. Then they went all the way to the Superbowl. And this year they lost in OT to the NFC champs. Perrenial playoff contenders. Can you say that about the Rams, 49ers, Cardinals, Cowboys, Panthers, Saints, Bears, or any other team in the NFC in this recent era? No. Only the Eagles are the other perrenial playoff team. The Seahawks are the equivalent of an NFC version of the Patriots except with a concentration of talent on the offensive side of the ball, whereas the Patriots are the other way around. I am telling you the draft is the way to get to the Superbowl.

The Seahawks are definitely the team to beat in the NFC West. They weren't that far from getting to the NFC Championship Game and as long as they stay healthy should clinch the division. There are some set backs though....

1) They have no first round draft pick.
2) They lost their big FA signing of the season - Kris Diehlman.
3) Have yet to make any serious FA moves and the market is drying up fast.

The keys for Seattle to win this year are simple:

1) Keep winning those divisional games. The 49er's are going to look to win more games with their FA acquisitions and be right on your tail. I doubt that Az will do anything more than .500 and the Rams - well they are on a downslide.
2) Stay Healthy. At least Shaun Alexander won't have to worry about the Madden Curse this year!
3) Defense will have to step it up and keep the games close. Looks like you are keeping Babineaux and Tatupu so that's good.

I wish them luck and hope to see them win the NFC West.

Despite all the injuries and inconsistency, the Seahawks just missed advancing to the NFC title game. They'll be the team tto beat in the NFC West and one to be reckoned with in the playoffs. The main focus to get them further will be the defense where they allowed too many long TDs and 100-yd performances. They need to find a FS with better cover skills and a wide-bodied run-stuffing DT. Also look for them to grab a TE as Jerramy Stevens hasn't been dependable. If they address these weak areas they should be at the top for many years!

I believe the Seahawks will challenge for the NFC title next year. I also believe they have a legitimate shot at the Super Bowl.
