I agree with you on the first one, 21 is too high a drinking age, I do not think that any other country has a drinking age that high. Not sure about the second one, I think if you kill someone, you should go to jail for more than a year!

Okay I am not an American, but I think I can answer is one.
you can only buy alcoholic drinks when you are 21, because a 20 year old is still a child, when you look it in a scientific way and with the numbers of the 18 year olds dieing from alcohol overdose and drink driving here in Australia, so it’s not hard for me to understand why in America they can only buy alcoholic drinks when you are 21.
Also murder is the worst crime, think about it Kelly. If a killer got out of jail after 6 months, do you know how the victim’s family and friends will feel? And what is there to stop the killer from repeating his/hers crime to another family. If we let them go back out into our community, they will just start killing again. Ask yourself is it justice to just let them go after 6months? People like those should be locked up forever.

Canada needs the tax revenue off of the alcohol to pay for the health care system and it costs a lot of money to keep someone in jail so they just keep him 6 months , turn him loose in the great white North and see if he can find his way back to civilization.

Cause that is our law and your laws are yours. Neither is better than the other or worse.
Laws are made by people elected to office by the people of that country. So the laws should reflect the beliefs and wishes of the people living there.
There are places here in the states, like here in Texas, where it isn't a good idea to commit murder. We're kinda 'do unto' down here, so convicted murders often end up on death row.

It's about federal highway funds going to each US state. If the states didn't make the drinking age 21 they wouldn't get the money needed to fix they highways.

21 because we have to many young dumb@ss Kidd's drinking and driving down here, in Wisconsin there is no lower age limit for buying drinks for your own Kidd's, and as for killing someone, well if its murder they commit i still believe we should hang them from tree in the courthouse yard,
