I’d like “go wireless” with my laptop at home. I’d like to hear if any of you have experience with any of these brands, and appropriate brand recommendations or critiques. Thanks in advance.

I've had 2 linksys so far, I recently upgraded to the wirelessG for a little more speed and have had no trouble with either of them,, I prefer to go wireless with a 4 port switch on the router so that its posible to run it on the net with an ethernet cable too if the wireless ever becomes corrupt

I know Linksys is good, but I'm a Netgear man myself. I've had my stuff here for close to 7 years, its old but runs great. I would not, however, go with D-Link. I work at Office Depot and i see a lot of those get returned.

Ive had all 3, right now I have Netgear Range Max and its ok for distances of less than 25 feet, not quite the max I was expecting In the last 2 years for one reason or another I changed routers and they were adequate, not much difference, in my case I need more distance.

i have used the netgear rangemax with great success. as long as you don't get a d-link any router using the N standard is great. The only problem with is is you will probably have to buy an add-on card.

I've had nothing but success with LinkSys, and nothing but failure with D-Link. LS may be a bit more expensive, but in the end you get what you pay for.
