I'm very sure you can't retrofit that to an existing engine. However you can do all sorts of engine swaps. You have to know what you're doing, though... it's very easy to end up with a Frankenstein mess that never runs or passes smog.

It requires a basic knowledge of DC electronics (if you can figure out how to build a 555 timer circuit, that's plenty) and a willingness to do a lot of research. It's not the kind of work you can hire out, because the sophistication makes it a labor-of-love.

There are also physical issues - hose routing, exhaust, and often engine/tranny mounts and driveshafts - but that you can hire out.

Cost of an engine, talk to a junkyard, but given that most junkyards have no idea what they'd need to supply in this type of swap, you're much better off getting a whole wrecked car.

Here's one guy who does swaps of modern fuel injected Chevy engines into lots of things, to give you an idea of the scope of such a project: http://www.jagsthatrun.com

Sell that and buy a Supra. It would be a lot easier and maybe less expensive.

Swapping in a newer engine would require that the wire harness and computer be installed as well.
