The answer is - Yes. We are stubborn. Each one of us. No matter what party, how we think or feel, we are stubborn Americans. It is a requirement to keep living here in the US. We might loose our membership card if we quit being stubborn...membership has its privileges

Politics are stupid just like people
Just look at the world today....You could right now, have Hitler up on live TV and as long as he said "Family values" the people watching would all light up and hit the button on their cages approving his message. People don't watch the actions, the results, or use any type of logical thinking..they just wait to hear the magic words that somehow makes their brains spit dope into their systems
