Both, as does everyone.
When we are in love we follow our hearts but use our mind to make things happen in our relationships.
Being patriotic is another form of love but for your country. Should anyone threaten the well being of what you love you will certainly use every resource (especially your mind) to ensure its ongoing well being.

Being a human being with the right thinking, we need to access the situation first before we decide. Its like looking at a problem and trying to find the best solution for it.
Well, why use only the heart OR the mind when you have the ADVANTAGE TO USE BOTH OF IT AT THE SAME TIME? doesn't harm, does it?

They are combined and not separate. What IS separate is love and lust. One is an animal attraction, while, as a romantic, the other is on a different plane.
If you are attracted to someone, but he doesn't have a job, does Drugs or other nefarious things--STAY AWAY, unless you crave drama and want an std, or your bank account to be emptied.
