Men in general has different ways of coping. Some sit it out and bounce back when the baggage is gone. Some choose to find someone else and move on from there. Neither of it is right nor wrong. Each has their own way of getting over past relationships. Your son's way is the norm for most men. He feels it is best for him to get into another relationship and progress forward. Of course, he will have his heartbroken, but it is inevitable. How can you grow without heartbreak? By stopping your son from getting into another relationship, it's going to affect him in the long run. Continue being the good mom you are by being there for him, regardless of the situation.

males get over relationships by getting into another relationship. His thinking is different from your thinking. You would probably take time to think about it and give yourself time to grieve but guys don't do that. He'll be fine and he'll have his heartbroken again. You can't protect him from that.
