I guess I'm fortunate in that my country Canada embraces cultural diversity, and respects different religious denominations, so until that changes I don't have to decide between nation and religion. However having said that If I were forced to choose, I would choose my religion over my nation. The reason? My nation can't garantee my eternal salvation, however my Creator, God Almighty, possessor of both Heaven and Earth can!.

Both are not important. For the soul though Sanatan Vedic Dharma (Universal Eternal Religion), which we can practice only with the help of a true saint, is the only course for human beings.

Religion is just rules put together by a bunch of self important hypocrites. Following God is what is important. After God comes nation.

My first reaction became into, "hell, no!" yet i'm not very religious, the two - i'm religious, and that i think in God, yet i'm not overly religious. i think of it might rely. If I lived someplace that attempted to tell me what to have self assurance, i'd prefer to think of that i'd nevertheless keep on with my own thought equipment. inspite of the undeniable fact that, i'm fortunate sufficient to stay in usa of america, the place we are all loose to worship (or not!) as we see in positive condition. So, i bypass to would desire to declare my country. It supplies me the liberty to hold despite religious ideals i choose.

Since Religion is causing nearly every problem faced by humans today, I would say the answer to your question is clear.
