Children and an up-scale type setting, in the resturant industry, generally do not go well together, but families with children are the majority of those who frequent restaurants. Do you think I should include menu items for children or not? Thank You.

Upscale = Expensive and people with money to afford expensive restaurants usually have kids who are well behaved, so I say sure go ahead and provide a children's menu with some upscale items like individual gourmet pizzas, pastas, etc. Just no chicken fingers or corn dogs. You don't want to attract chicken finger and corn dog people.

And I disagree with the previous poster about having a seperate menu for the children because I don't eat a lot and I often order from the children's menu at restaurants. Restaurant food portions keep getting bigger and bigger. I can't eat even half of a normal entree and I don't want to lug a doggie bag around all night.

You should, but have it on a separate menu that only comes out if there is a child at the table. that way your couples out for a romantic dinner, I don't like to see a kiddie menu.

No.

Nothing is more upsetting than eating around screaming kids while their parents ignore them.
