I have taken Iron for three weeks but still on test it is 9.7 please advise do I have to take Folic acid along with it or what ??

It takes about 4 weeks after you start taking the supplements for your iron levels to show any improvement. In the meantime you need to take a look at your diet, maybe theres a culprit in there preventing you from improving.
First, eat lots of red meat like beef and dark green vegetables like peas, beans or lettuce.
Second, if you like fish (I dont) there are some types of fish that have lots of iron.
Third, never drink any milk or eat dairy within one hour of taking your iron supplement, there is stuff in the dairy that prevents your stomach from processing the iron.
