Mos def. I used to work in a radio station, and they would actually stage fake calls. They would use an intern within the station to play the listener, and have them call the station and request a certain song.
But to real listeners, it sounded like a legitamate request.

Yes. Whoever owns the station decides what goes on the air. He might have assistants or hire a firm to program the station but its ultimately the owner's decision. Thousands of companies used to own country's radio stations, now there are 5 big owners who own almost all the stations in the country.

Well, they play what makes the most money. This is why I only listen to ESPN Radio and my MP3 Player.
