i just had a baby boy december 29th. i bled until jan 27th, i have not bled since then and i am afraid i may be pregnant again. shouldnt i have started my period at the end of feb. do you think i could be pregnant again? thanks for opinions.

Your best bet is to take a test. It is possible to get pregnant that early, it has been known to happen. I myself didn't get my first peroid until my daughter was 15 months old. After the lochia is cleared up you might not see a normal peroid for awhile.

Um, I have five kids who can prove to you that yes, you can get pregnant while breastfeeding, and one was only four months old when I got pregnant (my SIL's kids are all 13 months apart), so don't count on it!!!
My guess (without knowing you or your medical history) is that it's only been six weeks since you stopped bleeding (which four weeks is pretty average for postnatal bleeding) Hormones are crazy after the birth of a child, and it could take months to start bleeding again. It does NOT mean that you could not ovulate and get pregnant without a period, so please, if you don't plan on getting pregnant again, use some form of birthcontrol. Even if breastfeeding, the minipill is an effective and nonharmful way to protect yourself.

Are you breastfeeding?? If so then this will delay your period from returning!! These people that tell you there's no way you could be are wrong!! You have to remember that you ovulate about 2 weeks before you get your period so anything is possible! Take a test and if your still worried go see your doctor!

My guess would be no you are not pregnant again, my doctor told me that your period can be irregular for up to a year after having a baby

It would be REALLY unlikely that you are pregnant so soon; it will just take awhile for your system to be back to 'normal,'and even then it could be [in the words of my ob/gyn] a 'new normal.'

If you are breast feeding you will not get your period until you stop breat feeding. You bleed at the time you did due to your uterus cleaning its self out. Plus having babies makes your body strange.
